Dawna Lee Heising is a working actress and member of SAG-AFTRA, and is the Vice President of Aki Aleong’s Mustard Seed Media Group. Dawna has worked on Gregory Hatanaka’s Revenge of the Samurai Cop, with Tommy Wiseau, Ted V. Mikels’ Ten Violent Women: Part Two, Richard Rossi’s Canaan Land, Gregory Blair’s Garden Party Massacre, Dustin Ferguson's Nemesis 5, Jake Zelch's The Krampus Carol, and Ron Becks' and Tina Le's Las Vegas Vietnam. She is excited to be working with Aki Aleong in Dustin Ferguson’s RoboWoman, to be playing Esmeralda, Lucifer's wife, in William Lee's Black Mamba and to be playing Seraphim in Albert Pyun's Bad Ass Angels and Demons.
Dawna has trained in theater performance and Acting for the Camera at the South Coast Repertory. She was a member of Sal Romeo's Friends and Artists Theater Group in Los Angeles for many years training under Sal Romeo, Michael Sewell, Guy Stockwell, Tim Russ, Richard Hatch and at Tepper-Gallegos. She has also had extensive training at Fullerton College; Cypress College; and at U.C. Berkeley.
She won a Best Actress Award for her role as Naomi Perkins in After School Massacre at the 2014 Mockfest Film Festival, and was honored with a Film/TV Award at the 2017 Los Angeles Nollywood Film Festival. She also won a 2013 EOTM Award for Outstanding Television Talk Show Host for the show, "Eye on Entertainment," available on Amazon Prime. She has a B.S. in Business Management and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Dawna’s uncle is accomplished Director of Photography Tak Fujimoto, ASC, and is related to Emmy Award winners David Ka Lik Wong and George Daugherty for Peter and the Wolf on Broadway.
Dawna has won several beauty pageants: Mrs. California United States (2000); Mrs. American Achievement (2001); Ms. World (2008); Ms. Universe (2009) and Miss Galactic Film Festival (2015). She is a past winner of Miss Los Angeles Chinatown, Miss Orange County Universe, Miss San Francisco Universe and Miss California Hemisphere, among other titles. She has worked as a model for Ujena Swimwear, Venus Swimwear Catalina, Bikini Magazine, Glamour Magazine, FVM Global Magazine, Glitz Magazine and CVH 1st Class Magazine. She is also trained in ballet, pole dancing, jazz dancing, Tang Soo Do martial arts and kick boxing.
